I am working with an English professor here at UM, helping her develop an English 102 class as part of my research, and it's really frustrating sometimes. Creating courses is simple enough, but there is no real sharing of resources between classes, so for example, if you had two sections of a class, you develop one and then download the course to your computer and then upload it to the new course. You can't just put things up once and reuse them. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nAlso, the calendar cannot be linked to the student's Google or Apple calendar so changes on the Canvas calendar appear on the student's phone and computer. And, like you said it's buggy.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nI like the phone app, but there is so much you can't do on it. Web links that open inside of Canvas don't render properly, for example. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nFor me Canvas is almost, but not quite, ready for prime time.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[{"id":"87363109","body":"Jordan, great information.  I feel like we all have a good depth of knowledge of Canvas from using it on our side for the last year or so.  It's interesting to see Paul's comments from a teacher perspective.  Although, I would add &quot;not compatible with all browsers&quot; to the disadvantages section.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nPaul, I have subscribed to my Canvas calendar, and notifications are sent through my phone.  There is a button somewhere in the app (I think) where you can get notifications sent to iCal and Google.
